About the workshop
Body + Object + Situation
An experimental photography workshop with Peter Puklus, focusing on the human body in relation to everyday objects and art history motifs in order to create unprecedented images and situations.
In this workshop, we’ll dive into how the concept of ‘object’ can simultaneously represent ‘mind-maps,’ ‘motifs,’ and ‘cross-temporary dialogue’ in photography and creative processes. You will take portraits, self-portraits, and still lives, both alone and in teams.
We’ll focus on how objects in photography can represent ideas and spark conversations across time periods. You’ll explore your personal connection to everyday objects and your environment by photographing them in different setups.
Through group collaboration and solo work, you’ll investigate how these objects reflect your personality and relationships with others. The aim is to use these creative exercises to better understand yourself and the world around you.
Bring your unique experiences and personality into this creative journey, and let’s discover how these elements shape our artistic expression.

Peter Puklus
While his practice is rooted in photography, Peter has expanded into sculpture, painting, installation, and video, using these media to create intricate narratives. Recent exhibitions such as “I’ve Been Lying My Whole Life” (Ferenczy Múzeumi Centrum, Szentendre) and “My Language Is Not Silence” (Glassyard Gallery, Budapest) reflect his diverse artistic exploration, blending oil paintings, tufted rugs, wooden installations, and photography. He is represented by Glassyard Gallery (Budapest), Robert Morat Gallery (Berlin), and Klotz Shows (Bruxelles).
